Instant vegetable pulao – An easy lunch box idea for your kids with step by step pictures
Healthy power packed tasty pulao for your little ones.
A quick one pot meal for our kids. Compared to other rice dishes, pulao is more healthy because we can make our kids eat so many vegetables. I used to prepare this pulao once in a week for my son rizu. He likes this colorful rice. Lunchbox session is not yet started at school for him . I Need to think more about lunch box ideas from next year on wards. I have added vegetables and fruits in this pulao. You can also add dry fruits like raisins,nuts,badam etc… What makes this pulao so simple is we are using cooked rice and just mixing with veggies. Normally in pulao we cook rice along with vegetables and masala. So if you have cooked rice at home, you can make this pulao anytime. I am sure your kids will love this instant colorful pulao .

Cleanse the Body.
1 cup of rice(sona masoori,biryani rice,jeera rice etc…)
1/2 cup of corn
1/2 cup of chopped carrots
1/2 cup of peas
1 tbsp of chopped onion
2 no of cinnamon sticks
1 no of cardamom
2 no of cloves
1 spn. of butter/ghee
salt as required
1.Cook chopped carrots,peas and corn together with salt.Cook rice,drain it and keep aside.
Heat butter/ghee in a pan.
2.Add chopped onion,cinnamon sticks,cardamom and cloves.Saute till onion get translucent.
3.Add cooked vegetables and saute for 1-2 minutes.Add cooked rice.Mix well.
4.Garnish with pomegranate and chopped apple.Add 1-2 pinch of pepper powder if you want.Adjust salt and serve hot with onion raita.
1.You can add any vegetables of your wish like cauliflower,potato,beans etc…
2.Adding fried soya chunks will make the pualo more healthy.
3.You can also add crushed ginger and garlic along with chopped onion.
